Mask Read-Only Memory (MROM):
In this type of ROM, the specification of the ROM is derived from the manufacturer in the designated form in the tabular form by the manufacturer, and then creates a related mask for the path to generate the desired output. . This is expensive, because the seller charges a special fee from the customer to create a special ROM.
Use – They are used for sound operating in the network operating system, server operating system, laser printer for fonts, electronic music instruments.
Programmable Read-Only Memory (PROM):
It is first made in the form of blank memory, and then it is programmed to store information. The difference between PROM and Mask ROM is that PROM is built as a blank memory and programmed after creation, while a mask ROM is programmed during the creation process.
To program PROM, a PROM programmer or PROM burner is used. Procedure to PROM is called PROM as burning. In addition, the data stored in it can not be modified, so it is called a one time programmable device.

Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EPROM):

Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM):
It is similar to EPROM, except that EEPROM is replaced by ultraviolet light, in its initial state by the application of electrical signals. In this way, it provides ease in deletion, because it can be done, even if the memory is positioned in the computer. It eliminates or writes a byte data at a time.

Flash Read-Only Memory (Flash ROM):
This is an advanced version of EEPROM. The difference between EEPROM and Flash ROM is that in EEPROM, only 1 byte of data can be removed or written in a particular time, whereas, in flash memory, blocks of data (usually 512 byts) in a particular time Can be removed or written. So, the Flash ROM is much faster than EEPROM.
